Sarah finds herself trapped in a war between a sea goddess and an immortal Captain; she must play her part to survive.

Pirates Blood is a fantasy TV series that follows the life of a family whose fate is stuck between the war between a Sea Goddess and her protégé-gone-wrong, the immortal sea-captain, Edmünd Tollak.

The Pilot Episode focuses on Sarah and Captain Jasper.

Sarah ran away as a child and was adopted by her extended family. When her child turns 7, Sarah's peace from pirate life comes to an abrupt end. Her father, thanks to the child's birthday, finds Sarah and her cousin, and force them onto his ship.

Sarah's presence is less than welcomed by the other crewmates; her cousin, Grace, is also displeased about the situation and angry that Sarah never trusted her with the truth about her heritage.

Meanwhile, in flashbacks, Jasper makes a deal with Captain Tollak to trade his daughter's soul. Sarah, as a child, learns of a prophecy to defeat Tollak, and afraid that the prophecy is referring to her, refuses to embrace pirate life.

The Series

The series will focus on Sarah and Grace's relationship with the other characters, with the sea, and with the Goddess, Rán. It will also explore Tollak's past and how his path changed from the one Rán laid out for him.

Tollak is able to turn any souls he owns into Shells and Hermits. Shells are mutants that are unable to be harmed by a normal sword or weapon; Hermits are mutants of Shells—Tollak's worst punishment to defiant crew members. Hermits have no will of their own, and their body and limbs becomes united with the other hermits on the ship.

Pirates in this universe are given burn mark that connects them to Rán, gives them special abilities—such as finding long-lost-relatives—and help them as they journey the seas. As well as the relations between the main characters, and Tollak's past, the series will also explore these pirates culture, how their belief affect how they act, and the struggles of power.
