When the Boys Come Home is a 360o soundscape, a short radio play based around the Battle of Britain.
The radio play was a collaborative student project at The University of Derby and experiments with the soundscape by placing different sounds and storylines into different speakers around the room.
The radio play addresses the impact the battle of Britain had on families. It follows one family in particular and illustrates some of the challenges faced and endured by men and women throughout the war. It was broadcasted on 22nd June 2019 at the University of Derby.
I and Allan Rafferty worked on scenes 1, and Daniel Lament and I worked on scenes 7 of the script.
Katharine Eavan and I worked together to format the script correctly and check for continuity errors. Katharine lead the project and kept everyone on schedule.
